Gilfenklamm Gorge

Gilfenklamm Gorge, or Emperor Franz Josef Gorge as it was called 100 years ago, is a unique spectacle of nature and the only gorge in the world that is cut deep into pure white marble! Rio Racines foams as it squeezes between towering rock faces and plunges with a roar over numerous waterfalls down into the valley! Gilfenklamm Gorge is open from the beginning of May to the beginning of November.
